Four days In Connecticut

We crossed the Hudson going over the Mario Cuomo bridge and could see NYC when we did. This was a new route for us.
We arrived at Rick’s mom’s house to the usual warm welcome. Even Simon settled in quickly. It was non stop visits from his sisters, cousins and nieces and nephews. We did manage a couple of bike rides on the nearby Rails to Trails system. We really enjoyed those rides. And we even went to the movies (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice). Time went by pretty fast since it was filled with so many commitments. And the trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit with cousin Mike who is also into slot cars. Rick even got a new car from him for his birthday. We departed with lots of memories and food for our return trip to Colorado.
