Just when we were cleaning up after breakfast a huge black cloud appeared complete with thunder and lightning. And then it rained. We hunkered down in the camper to wait out wondering if it would continue for a while. About 45 minutes later the sun came out!
We headed up to Leadville and had a great ride around the Mineral Belt trail. We took our windbreakers off around the two mile mark. The wildflowers were beautiful! We got back to the car and it looked ominous again. A quick trip to Safeway and by the time we got to camp it was raining and cold 🥶. Back inside to wait it out and about an hour later it was clearing up. Rick tweaked his back getting Simon’s out of the car so we will wait till morning to start tearing down our site.
