Getting to know the Max

We moved over to site 9 to get away from the noisy generator coming from the campground host’s site. We looked at the move as a way to practice tearing down, hooking up, backing up and setting up camp again. We are learning! We have determined that life is in fact easier in some ways, but now we have a new set of challenges.
Susan likes having her kitchen inside out of the wind. The systems monitor is helpful and handy and the solar panel is great! We may not need any more solar power to charge the battery. Rick is learning this bigger camper and how to tow it. He bought an extended mirror so he see behind him and also inflated the tires to 50 psi.
The water coming from the faucet has a clear mildew smell and taste. Also a mildew smell in the shower area that comes and goes. The usb ports do not work so we are using a charger into the cigarette lighter. That works but Rick wants to fix the usb ports. We switched sides in the bed so Rick is against the wall. That seems to work better. We’re reading online about so many ways we can make life more organized. We are still on the fence about a cover for it while Rick is inside this winter.
We will keep documenting the pluses and minuses of this new rig. It feels very civilized after the T@G but we think we will get used to that.
