Our campsite setting is nothing like we’ve ever been in before. The rock formations make a perfect private spot and even though there are a few other campers around us, we don’t see or feel them.
After a leisurely morning we headed towards Silver City but first we stopped at Faywood Hot Springs on the way. Very friendly place and a lovely peaceful setting. There are public pools for soaking and private ones too. Also ones that are clothing optional. Very respectful pricing too. We may go there tomorrow afternoon.
We went to Walmart for more supplies then met up with our friends Lois and Buz who used to live in salida. It was fun catching up with them and seeing their beautiful home.
Tomorrow we hope to take a short hike but are still wondering what to do with Simon. He can’t hike here.
